HOLGER GETS INTO THE MAIN DRAW OF THE US OPEN AND ZANE ARRIVES TO THE QUALIFICATIONS FINAL

These two players, who hadn’t yet won a match in a Grand Slam, not only achieved their first victory but arrived until the qualifying finals. 

After beating Sergiy Stakhovsky, number 227 of the world, and Damir Džumhur, 120 of the world, Zane, who is now 457 of the ranking,  lost at the qualifying final against 152, Yevgueni Donskói. The achievement of Khan, is so remarkable since at only 19 years old he has gone up against opponents with a long experience in the court and has been able to beat them.

We have to talk of course of the unstoppable Holger Rune. After winning straight up two ATP Challengers, the now 18 years old player, has got himself a ticket for the main draw of the US Open. The undeniable future star played a wonderful qualification phase where he went up against Lukas Lacko, Mitchell Krueger, and Mats Moraing.

Born in Copenhagen, Holger, who has just turned eighteen, is an outstanding tennis promise with some incredible achievements under his belt. Rune conquered the Junior French Open 2019 when he was only sixteen years old. He also won the ITF Junior Finals the same year which, among other achievements, got him to the number one position of the ITF Ranking in 2019, a position that he currently still holds.

His accomplishments on the ATP Tour are also as admirable. Currently, ranked 310 of the ATP Ranking, he is the second-youngest player under eighteen. Over the latest months, the Danish player has beat two top 100 players, he has qualified for the Chile ATP 250 Open where he defeated second-seeded of the tournament, Benoit Paire, and reached the quarterfinals.

His latest milestones on the ATP Tour was at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, an ATP 500 where he went through the qualifiers and lost against Albert Ramos-Viñolas in a really tight game where the Spanish player won in the third set 7-6.

Tennium, couldn’t be happier with the incorporation of Holger Rune to its players management business. He is the latest addition to a long list of players the company has recruited.
