Stefanos Tsitsipas will play the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell

The Greek tennis player confirms his participation in the next edition of a tournament in which he has been a finalist on four occasions

One of the players most loved by the public of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Trofeo Conde de Godó, Stefanos Tsitsipas, confirmed his participation in the next edition that will be held from April 12 to 20 on the courts of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899. The Greek has played four of the last six Barcelona finals (2018, 2021, 2023 and 2024), but the title has always eluded him. He is the tennis player with the most lost finals in the history of the tournament, tied with David Ferrer and Guillermo Vilas. However, at 26 years old, he will once again be one of the big favourites to win in Barcelona and add to his list of 11 titles, including three ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo and the 2019 ATP Finals. In addition, the Greek was a finalist at Roland Garros in 2001, proving to be a great specialist on clay.

Since he turned professional, Tsitsipas has never missed his date with the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, where he has accumulated 20 victories in his six participations. At the RCTB-1899 he will meet high-level rivals who have already confirmed their presence such as Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Holger Rune.

Tickets to attend the tournament are on sale and can only be purchased through the official website: barcelonaopenbancsabadell.com
