The Greek tennis player (11th ATP) is the fourth tennis player to confirm his participation in the next edition of the tournament that will be held from April 13 to 21.
The level of the next edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Trofeo Conde de Godó continues to increase with the confirmation of the participation of the three-time finalist of the tournament, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek is the fourth tennis player to affirm his presence in Barcelona after Rafa Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev. The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell is working hard to celebrate a very special edition coinciding with the 125th anniversary of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899.
Tsitsipas is especially good at the Barcelona tournament, where he is the current finalist and will once again be one of the big favorites to lift the title. After being a finalist on three occasions (2018 and 2021 against Rafa Nadal and 2023 against Carlos Alcaraz) he hopes to finally achieve victory at 25 years old. The Greek will come to the RCTB-1899 courts with the goal of re-entering the top-10 of the ATP ranking (currently ranked 11th). Throughout his career he has already collected 10 titles of 27 finals played, including the Australian Open (2023) and Roland Garros (2021).
Since 2018, Tsitsipas has never missed his appointment with Barcelona, “one of my favorite tournaments”, he always assures. His game adapts like a glove to the RCTB-1899 clay, where he has a win-loss record of 16-5. In his debut in 2018 he reached the final (the first of his career) and was discovered as one of the great talents of the racket at only 19 years old.
