Facundo Diaz Acosta closed his dream week at the IEB+ Argentina Open with a title, the first of his career. The Argentinian, who received one of the Wild Cards from the organization to play the tournament, beat Chilean Nicolas Jarry 6-3, 6-4 in the final.
“Very happy. I have been dreaming about this moment for a long time, working hard with the team and my family behind me. The fact that it is in Argentina is a dream come true”, said the champion, mate in hand.
Díaz Acosta, with this triumph, will be ranked 59th in the international ranking (+28 places). He will become the fourth best Argentinean, behind Francisco Cerúndolo, Sebastián Báez and Tomás Etcheverry.
