The Brazilian won her first WTA title after defeating Lourdes Carle 6-3 6-2.
In a match that seemed to start with an advantage for Carlé, Pigossi recovered and with good service games managed to take the first set 6-3. In the second set, the tennis player who was born in Sao Paulo left no doubts and was superior to the Argentinean, to close the match with a convincing 6-2.
With this victory, Laura Pigossi moves up to the 108th ranking and is on the doorstep of the top 100.
Lourdes Carlé and Despina Papamichail were the doubles champions.
