The Creand Andorra Open, organized by Tennium, will bring the best international tennis to the Principality: the second women’s WTA 125 and one of the 30 tournaments of this category around the world. The competition will take place from November 27 to December 3 at the Andorra Sports Center.
This project in Andorra aims to consolidate itself as a key date on the WTA calendar, and does so with the support of the main sponsor of the tournament, Creand, as well as the commitment of the Government of Andorra. For this edition, Tennium’s determined commitment to innovation and technology stands out, providing players with Electronic Line Calling (ELC), the benchmark video arbitration in the best events on the circuit.
All the agents involved in the contest were present at the official presentation that took place at the Creand headquarters. Martí Alfonso, director of the Banking Business Area in Andorra at Creand Crèdit Andorrà, has expressed that “this international tournament bears our brand because we want to continue being a reference in supporting Andorran sports, it responds to the bank’s desire to support events in the country. “that help put Andorra on the map and attract visitors. The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Alain Cabanes, has highlighted that “events with public-private collaboration are a good formula to promote the country’s sport and promote it inside and outside our borders. Therefore, we would like to thank Tennium for its involvement in this project shared with the Andorran Tennis Federation and which is sponsored by Creand.”

The list of players has been revealed and brings together at a high level with up to 14 players from the world’s top-120. From the Entry List, the young Frenchwoman Clara Burel, number 61, Clara Tauson, Danish and winner of two WTA 250 titles, stands out. Nuria Parrizas Diaz (e.g. world number 45 in 2022) and resident in Andorra, Marina Bassols, will also be included. and Cristina Bucsa, Spanish players who are members of the Spanish Tennis Team who are competing in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Seville.
The presence of Alizé Cornet, former world number 11 and champion of the Billie Jean King Cup and Hopman Cup for France, brings experience to the tournament. The Swede, Rebecca Peterson, will return to the Principality this year to try to achieve the title that eluded her in 2022.
Andorran Vicky Jimenez, sponsored by Creand Crèdit Andorrà, will also play in the tournament thanks to an invitation granted by the organization. In a video she thanked her for her invitation and expressed that she is very excited to play at home again. Her participation is highly anticipated by Andorran tennis lovers.
In the coming weeks, the organization will announce the other Wild Cards including two Top-50 players.
