This year the tournament celebrates its 70th anniversary and there will be a very special edition with lots of surprises that will be announced soon. Last year the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell experienced a historic edition with the victory of Carlos Alcaraz on the Rafa Nadal Court. The 18-year-old from Murcia completed an exceptional week and confirmed the good impressions left in Barcelona with titles at the Mutua Madrid Open and the US Open, and the World No. 1 at the end of the season.
This year, the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell will also offer the two new categories of tickets that debuted last year, offering a unique way to enjoy the matches and which will be available to the general public: “Premium Seat” and “Ground Pass”:
– “Premium Seat“, front row seat, behind the boxes.
– “Ground Pass“, from Monday to Thursday, access to Fan Boulevard and Court 1. Access to the Rafa Nadal Court (Central) from 6 p.m., if there is availability.
For more than 120 years, the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 has been the stage where great champions have forged their legends and where the stars of the future have launched their careers, such as Rod Laver, Arthur Ashe, Suzanne Lenglen, Manolo Santana, Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Since 1953, the Trofeo Conde de Godó has been a tournament with its own stamp and the dream of its founder, Carlos Godó (Conde de Godó), has become a tradition in the sport.
On the courts of the RCTB-1899, every corner hides a piece of history that contributes to making this tournament something great and unique. The “Talismanic Court” of the Davis Cup or the “boom” of Spanish tennis are some of the episodes that have been imprinted on Barcelona’s clay courts.
