Tommy Robredo defeated Italian Federico Gaio 7-6(10) 5-7 7-6(6) in a 3 hours, 15 minutes thrilling match to win the first edition of the Internazionali di Tennis Emilia Romagna, in Parma, Italy. The current 11-match winning streak of the Spanish meant winning back-to-back titles in the Challenger Tour, as he had also lifted the trophy early this month in the Poznan Open, Poland.

“It’s been a tough match. I was down 4-1 in the third set, but I didn’t give up and in the end I did it. It is the second consecutive Challenger that I win, I am in a more than positive period. I had a great time here. Next goals? Quickly recover from this marathon to best present myself to the following tournaments”.
